Restorative Dental Care in North Dallas
The goal of restorative care is to provide treatments that will ensure that all of your teeth function the way they should. Teeth that are damaged or missing can inhibit your overall wellness by making it difficult to eat, speak, and interact with others. Watson Family Dentistry wants all of our customers to be able to smile with confidence.
Composite & Amalgam Fillings
Most people eventually get a cavity, even with good oral hygiene. When that happens, we carefully remove the decay to stop it from spreading. We offer several options for fillings, depending on the location of the filling and your budget. Tooth-colored, composite fillings blend naturally with your teeth. Traditional amalgam fillings are another, slightly less expensive option.
Tooth Extractions, Oral Surgery & Bone Grafts
We’ll never pull a tooth if there’s a way to save it, but sometimes teeth just need to come out. This is especially true when it comes to wisdom teeth. At times unstable teeth need to be extracted to prepare for dentures or dental bridges. We also offer bone grafts to strengthen the jaw before dental implant surgery. Both Drs. Watson are experienced and gentle oral surgeons. For patients who experience some anxiety with these procedures, we offer nitrous oxide to help them relax.
Root Canal Therapy/Endodontics
Infections caused by decay in the tooth pulp can create swelling and extreme discomfort. Root canal therapy is a common procedure that is relatively pain-free thanks to modern dentistry and our experienced practitioners. Our dentists flush out the infection and seal the tooth to stop further decay. The tooth is restored with a filling or Cerec® crown.
Watson Family Dentistry offers a number of solutions for our patients who are missing one or more teeth. Dental bridges close the gap when you are missing a few teeth but not a full palate. The bridge is custom-made for each individual situation and looks and functions just like natural teeth. Your dental bridge can be attached to stable teeth on either side of the bridge. Another option is a bridge that is supported by dental implants. Either way, you’ll be able to smile again with confidence!
Our experts will help you choose the denture option that is best for your budget and expectations. We offer full and partial dentures that are secured with strong dental adhesives. Another solution are dentures that snap onto dental implants. Today’s dentures are much improved over those that were the brunt of jokes for years. You can rest assured that your dentures will be designed for your mouth and face. They will feel comfortable and look like real teeth.
